Does an accessibility widget protect me from lawsuits?

No widget — ours included — provides legal immunity. A widget can demonstrate good-faith effort and meaningfully improve accessibility for many visitors, but courts (especially under the ADA) look at whether a site is actually usable for people with disabilities. We strongly recommend pairing the widget with manual audits and remediation for any site facing real legal risk.

Will this widget slow down my WordPress site?

FlexAccesses loads asynchronously — meaning your site renders first, and the widget loads after. In practice the impact on Core Web Vitals is minimal. We don’t publish a single “load time” number because real-world performance depends on your site’s existing code, hosting, and user’s device.

Do you collect data from my visitors?

No tracking cookies. No selling of data. The widget stores accessibility preferences in the visitor’s own browser (local storage), so their settings persist between visits, but nothing is sent to advertisers. Our full Privacy Notice details all data practices.

Is the widget enough for full ADA / EAA compliance?

No — and any vendor claiming otherwise is misleading you. Real compliance requires accessible design, semantic markup, properly tagged content, alt text, captions, and keyboard-operable interfaces baked into your site. A widget complements that work; it doesn’t replace it. That’s why we also offer audits and remediation services.

Can I customize the widget to match my brand?
